Overview:
These Terms of Sale govern all custom quotes, pre-production sampling, and commercial manufacturing orders placed with Pacific Nameplate. By approving an engineering proof, issuing a corporate purchase order (PO), or submitting a production deposit, you agree to the terms below.
All products manufactured by Pacific Nameplate are custom, engineered-to-order industrial goods:
Engineering Sign-off: Production begins only after formal approval of the digital production proof (PDF). The customer is responsible for reviewing and verifying all dimensions, material types, hole centers, artwork, text, and tolerances prior to approval.
Non-Cancellable & Non-Refundable: Because materials are cut and custom tooling (dies, laser fixtures, etching plates) is prepared specifically for your project, orders cannot be canceled or modified once proof approval has been granted and production has commenced.
Our standard minimum order quantity is 200 units per design/run.
Written quotes are valid for 30 calendar days unless otherwise stated, subject to raw metal market volatility.
Initial pre-production tooling and setup charges apply to prototype runs. When advancing to the qualifying production order, the tooling fee is waived.
Standard Terms: Production requires a 50% deposit upon proof approval, with the 50% balance due prior to order dispatch.
Commercial Credit: Approved corporate accounts may be eligible for commercial credit terms (such as Net 30) upon credit check and established order history.
Title of Goods: Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon handover to the freight or package carrier at our facility.
All orders are manufactured to standard commercial engineering tolerances for metal fabrication (typically $\pm 0.015″$ for dimensional profiles and hole centers, unless tighter precision tolerances are explicitly quoted and specified in writing). Minor surface sheen or grain variations inherent to raw industrial mill batches are standard.
We take pride in industrial precision and stand behind the mechanical integrity of our nameplates:
Inspection Window: The customer must inspect all shipments upon delivery. Any claims regarding manufacturing defects, material non-conformity, or count shortages must be submitted in writing within 10 business days of receipt.
Defect Remedy: If parts fail to meet the specifications shown on the approved digital proof due to manufacturing error, Pacific Nameplate will, at its option, re-manufacture, correct, or replace the non-conforming units at no cost to the customer.
No Monetary Returns: Because all nameplates are custom-fabricated to proprietary customer drawings, monetary refunds and retail returns are not offered.
The customer represents that they own or hold the legal right to use all trademarks, logos, engineering drawings, and patent designations submitted to Pacific Nameplate. The customer agrees to hold harmless Pacific Nameplate against any third-party claims or copyright/trademark infringement arising from manufacturing goods to customer-provided designs.
